PROPERTY BOOKINGS
(Subject to COVID Safe Requirements)
Annerley Baptist has various rooms and areas available for use by individuals and groups.
There are also a number of regular bookings in place which may mean that your preferred time or date may not be available.
Main Hall ... Large hall with stage able to accommodate up to 150 people depending on your configuration. Table and chairs are available if you wish to have a sit down meal. There is a kitchen including fridges, cooktop, oven, urn, frypans, microwaves, crockery and cutlery. If you require the kitchen as well as the hall area then an additional facility fee applies as well as your booking time needing to include food preparation time and clean-up. The kitchen can be closed if not required.
The hall is air-conditioned and ceiling fans are also provided.
A small PA system is available as well as a piano.
Under “Mahlua” (house next door) ... Small hall for up to 40 people. It does have a small kitchen (including stove, urn and microwave) as well as tables and chairs. There is access to the playground area. This area is air- conditioned.
Children’s Hall ... Designed for small groups of up to 20 and is adjacent to the playground area making it ideal for groups with children.
Church Auditorium ... Available for weddings and funerals or for a congregation which does not have a building of their own.
The seating capacity is 200-250. You would need to provide your own sound system or arrangements for one of our members to assist with the AV requirements (which may incur additional cost). If you require live music we have a piano and electronic piano but you would need to provide your own musicians.
This area is not air-conditioned but has ceiling fans.
Current rates, which may be subject to change, are:
Main Hall - $50 per hour plus $80 facility fee for kitchen (if required)
Under “Mahlua” - $25 per hour
Children’s Hall - $20 per hour
Church Auditorium - Price on application depending on requirements.
A cleaning bond may be required depending on the type of event particularly if food is served.
It is the hirer’s responsibility to clean after use and remove rubbish.
NO ALCOHOL IS TO BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES AND SMOKING IS RESTRICTED TO OUTDOOR AREAS WITHIN GOVERNMENT PRESCRIBED DISTANCES.
No smoking is allowed in the playground area.
Our insurance does not cover outside groups who hire the property – THEREFORE YOU MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE AND PROVIDE A COPY BEFORE ANY BOOKING IS ACCEPTED. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THIS MAY MEAN YOUR EVENT IS CANCELLED AND THE VENUE GIVEN TO ANOTHER HIRER.
Should you require details of companies providing Public Liability insurance we can supply some details.
A Hire Agreement form will need to be completed once the insurance details have been provided.
A completed application form does not necessarily assume that the booking will be accepted.
We generally require that payment is made prior to the event however in some cases an invoice will be provided after the event in the case of an organisation that requires a tax invoice. Bank details are included on the application form.
Arrangements will be made for the opening of the area by one of the Church members. Keys are not normally issued for casual or one off events.
A key bond will be required if a key is provided.
Toilets are provided however if you have a large group you may be wise to provide your own toilet paper in case the amount provided is exhausted.
A cancellation fee may be charged if short notice is given.
Parking for attendees is provided from Lambton Street which is at the rear of the property. Four disabled car spaces are available which can be accessed from Ipswich Road. If you need to deliver equipment or food etc then you should also use the Ipswich Road driveway (Hungry Jack’s side) but once unloaded then your vehicle should be removed to the rear car park.
There is to be no parking in Hungry Jack’s car park
Should you require access to a disabled toilet then one is available under the Main Hall.
There may be other groups using the property at the same time. We ask that due consideration is given to other users as well as our neighbours.
